Lisbon, Portugal
Why We Love It
Lisbon has become the ultimate European hub for digital nomads (aka girl-bosses who are runnin’ and rockin’ their online biz, all while traveling the world!).
Once you step foot in this seaside paradise, you’ll see why we love this city! Besides the delish cuisine, and the fact that it’s a serious coworking haven, you’ll find there’s so much to do when you need a break from your screen.
You’ll be in good company as the city is full of other location-independent entrepreneurs who have found a home in this stunning city in Portugal that’s thriving with creative energy. From coworking spaces that feel more like gardens, to a rooftop terraces that will help you put the balance in work-life-balance, Lisbon is a city that can’t be missed!
Plus, don’t forget to take on some day trips like exploring the romantic village of Sintra (a UNESCO heritage site!) and Cascais beach – both of which had us head over heels in love with this place.

Questions?
What is the easiest mode of transportation in Lisbon?
Lisbon is a very hilly city, in fact it’s called “The City of Seven Hills!” Lisbon has a very easy to use Metro and cable car system (bonus points: the cable cars are totally adorable!) Lisbon also has car sharing services like Uber, that make it easy to hop from one place to the next!
What area of Lisbon is best to live in?
We love living in places that truly feel like they exude the heart of the city! Which is why Chiado and Bairro Alto is one of our favorite places. This literally translates to “upper city” meaning this hip neighborhood is–yep, you guessed it–at the top of a hill! If you’re curious what everyone is doing on a Saturday night, chances are, they’re exploring the labyrinth of streets and alleyways in Bairro Alto.
What are the best spots to get work done in Lisbon?
We love working from coworking spaces, and there are a few places that top the list in Lisbon. One of the most unique? We love Cowork Lisboa inside the uber trendy LX Factory and Second Home Lisboa. If you’re more into the coffee shop vibe, we highly recommend Copenhagen Coffee Lab near the Time Out Market!
