REAL TALK & ADVICE

As we enter into the second half of the year, I’m finding that many of us (myself included!) are in definite need of a refresh.

I think it’s important to differentiate refresh from a reset. Because in all honesty and as crazy as it might sound, I actually don’t want to start this year over. Yes, there have certainly been challenges, but what I’ve learned is that even the most challenging seasons of our lives often show us just how bright the light can be.

So, if you’re feeling the need for a mid-year refresh as well, I’d love for you to join me in reflecting on this first half of the year, all that we’ve learned and our resiliency throughout it all. I truly believe that one of our greatest strengths as humans is the ability to see the light even in the darkness and to use what we’ve learned to lift us up with a renewed strength for the future.

So, what do ya say? Let’s use what we’ve learned so far this year to thrive in the second half of the year!

Why It’s Important To Reflect

Oftentimes, we want to fast forward and start preparing for what lies ahead. However, it’s important that you don’t just run on autopilot. So, instead, take a step back and devote a little time to reflecting on your past.

Give Yourself a Refresh

After going through the craziest moments of my life, I found myself forgetting what my biggest intentions and priorities were… And I also realized that they had changed!

Maybe yours have, too! So, now that you’ve reflected on the first half of the year, it’s time to give yourself a refresh.

Refresh your goals, dreams, and priorities. This is a time to remind yourself what you’re working towards. Allow yourself to adjust and change the things that just aren’t working for you anymore.

By taking the time to do this, you’ll make sure that you’re staying on track and accomplishing the RIGHT things throughout the last half of this year!

Choose Your Word

Choosing a word is a great and fun way to set your intentions. It’s a constant, yet gentle, reminder to focus on creating positive change within yourself. It will help guide your decisions and continue moving you forward to your goals and dreams!

If you picked a word at the start of the New Year, feel free to hang onto it. But also know that you have full permission to hit that refresh button and pick a new word!

You can even join our team in choosing a word for the remainder of the year. Noun, verb, anything! Just choose a word that feels good and meaningful to you. What is your heart in most need of? What is going to inspire you to become the person you want to be?

Once you choose your word, write it somewhere where you will see it daily – your bathroom mirror, nightstand, coffee maker, on your desk, etc. Each day, choose to live a life that embodies your word!

Here are just a few examples that were inspired by the BB Team:

  • Blooming
  • Confidence
  • Pursuit
  • Endurance
  • Balance
  • Generosity
