Why We Love It
Austin is our favorite city in the U.S. with it’s laid-back vibe, entrepreneurial energy, huge foodie scene and extensive outdoor & indoor activities (rock climbing, kayaking, comedy shows etc.). It’s no surprise that it ranks #1 in America’s BEST cities to live in!
A young city at heart, there’s no shortage of coffee shops to get work done (and have a beer while you’re at it!), plus a handful of trendy coworking spaces scattered around the city.
You’ll be in good company as you seize your work-life balance by heading to popular Rainey Street on a night out, or taking a swim in Barton Springs on beautiful Austin day!
Here’s a list of a few of our favorite Austin hot-spots for you location-independent chicas…
A trendy Mexican-inspired restaurant with delicious tapas style plates & yummy mezcal cocktails.
For a modern workspace away from home, snag a monthly membership with all the amenities (like cold brew on tap!)
The most fun we’ve ever had during a workout; snag a bike and get sweaty with epic tunes & motivational chats!
A piece of paradise in the middle of the city; rent a kayak or a stand up paddle board and hit the lake for an outdoor adventure.
Using food and farming to transform the lives of Austin city youth, get involved with the Urban Roots program!

Although Austin is a small-city, it’s best to have a car to get around the city. You can rent long-term from a rental company like Enterprise, or utilize car-sharing services like Car2Go and Uber. The city also has many electric scooters which are a popular mode of transport like Jump and Bird.
What area of Austin is best to live in?
We love living close to Downtown Austin and recommend living anywhere near South Lamar, South Congress or South First for central access to all the cool things! The “East Side” is also becoming increasingly popular among Austinites with lower rental prices.
What are the best spots to get work done in Austin?
As we prefer working from coworking spaces, we love our WeWork membership. WeWork has many locations around the city so it will be easy to find one close to you. If you prefer the coffee shop route, there are tons of coffee shops with strong wifi (like Seven Flag, Stouthaus, Brew & Brew) to get work done.
