In today’s interview, we’re chatting with one of our amazing Work Online + Travel the World Course students, Hayley Lachambre, who quit her 9-5 job in commercial real estate, moved to Bali, started her own online business and is absolutely CRUSHIN’ it!
In just 2 months, she completed the WTC course, built her beautiful new website, booked a one-way ticket to Bali and landed her first client within the first 2 weeks of hustlin’! #girlbossgoals

First destination as a Bucketlist Bombshell: I lived in Bali for two months while I started working on my business.
The cost of living was perfect and the digital nomad community was such a game changer! My lifestyle in Bali was nothing short of ideal and it made me fall in love with co-working spaces and coconuts!
How did you transition your past experiences (work, passion projects etc.) to find your online skills? At first I thought, “I have no skills!” but through the course I learned how to take some skills from my previous job (like website management, social media management and my love for working one-on-one with clients) plus all of the new skills inside the Tech Skills Course to figure out what skills I wanted to start selling as services.

How long did it take you from finishing the WTC to land your first client? Once I enrolled in the WTC, I gave my 9-5 job a few months notice. Within two months I completed the course, created my website and booked a one way ticket to Bali! I landed my first client within the first 2 weeks of hustling and pursuing clients!
Did you have fears in pursuing an online career? If so, what were they? How did you conquer them? I was worried about finding consistent, quality clients. As well as maintaining a reliable income. I just had to conquer these fears head on and fully commit to an online career. Once I began to really work hard and put myself out there, I honestly feel that I attracted the opportunities!
How has working online & traveling the world changed your life? The support! It’s not just a course, it’s a community. The encouragement, advice and help I received from Cassie & Shay was invaluable to me. I wouldn’t have been able to start my online career as quickly and as successfully as I have without them!
How has working online & traveling the world changed your life? Having an online career has completely changed the way I live and view my life. Having complete control over your time and being able to travel whenever and wherever you want…I mean, seriously. Being my own boss is truly a dream come true.
If there’s one thing you wish you knew before before becoming a Bucketlist Bombshell, what would it be? Ditch all the fears! I was so worried about the transition, where I would end up once I got on the other side and if it would even work out. I can now say I’ve conquered all those fears – of course there were ups and downs but I learned so much (and am still learning!) throughout the entire process.
What’s your biggest piece of advice to aspiring Bucketlist Bombshells? YOU GOT THIS! Don’t doubt yourself, dive in head first and you’ll never regret that you did.
