Below is a round-up of resources that we’ll be diving into to celebrate Black History Month, and that you can also use to participate through reading, watching and listening.
It’s important to us that this list is not meant for us to educate about Black History Month, but instead use our platform as a way to provide awareness and amplify Black voices, creators, educators, businesses, authors and more in our effort to actively take part in our allyship.

Here are 8 resources to celebrate Black History Month in 2021:
#1: Learn about the history of Black History Month by watching this History Channel Video
Learn about the champions and heroes who stood up for their rights, along with understanding a detailed timeline and significant dates in history. Watch the video here.
#2: Attend a Virtual Discussion with Harvard Professors Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain
On February 2nd, join a discussion with Harvard Professors and Best-Selling Authors Ibram X. Kendi and Keisha N. Blain on the impact of the African American community focusing on historic eras and their sustained impact on the United States. Sign up for the workshop here.

#3: Listen to the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave, on Spotify
Frederick Douglass was an escaped American slave who became a prominent activist, author and public seeker, becoming a leader of the movement to end the practice of slavery. #8: Donate to The Loveland Foundation to support Black women and girls seeking therapy
The Loveland Foundation provides opportunity, access, validation and healing to Black women and girls seeking therapy. The organization was established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle. Learn more about the organization here.
